View from Jupiter (or higher)

Here i am at Cafe Juptier seeking some divine wisdom before I start my day. What I think is so helpful about reading some scripture in the morning is the way God helps give me a better/higher perspective on life before I rush ignorantly into it, or get totally imobilized by it.

I think I'm prone to being indecisive to the point of missing out on opportunities - not for business, but to make some sort of impact in somebody's life, which no doubt will affect my own. Anyway, I need all the help I can get.

I'll never open a bathroom door the same way again

To me the word "Vacant", means "come on in, nobody in here, you are free to enter this empty space." So when I went to crack open the single bathroom door of the coffee shop that I was in, I was surprised to find a middle aged Japanese lady in a situation that most people would desire privacy for. She blurted something out in japanese, which probably translated to, "shut the stinkin door!"

Fortunately for both us, we never saw each other's faces. So after shutting the door I ran back to my table, buried my face in my laptop and pretended like I was there the whole time working. I made sure not to make any eye contact with her as she walked passed me. (btw, the picture below is a re-enactment).

Eat burgers, be happy

Da fellas treated me to some Island Burger at Ala Moana for my Bday. Good times. Nothing like a cold frothy beverage, some beef, and good friends to make a guy smile (or make a stupid face).

We get together every Monday night to knock sense into each other and to encourage each other. God calls it "iron sharpening iron", it doesn't always feel good but something about each one of us is being refined and chiseled. Unfortunately this has no effect on the shape of our physical bodies.
